Dear Stevens Community,
I have been in education for 22 years and love each day that I get to serve as the leader at Stevens Elementary. I have taught and been an instructional coach at the elementary level. In the past 10 years, I have been a part of this community as Principal, Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach. This school has grown and changed over the years and we continue to work towards becoming great! We look forward to our growth and loving each child and family that enters our doors.
Stevens is a crew. We work to build relationships and care for one another, both the scholars and the staff. It is important for every scholar who walks into our crew to connect with someone. Not just their peers, but also a caring adult who believes in them, who views them as a unique individual, who has the right to learn and feel safe, and who will empower them to reach their highest potential. I want our students to connect with others in our crew.
Collaboration is very important to the hard work that we do at Stevens. Our crew works together to support and grow our scholars. I am committed to the growth of people, and I nurture a school culture of collective learning and efficacy. I have learned that leadership is about being present for people and building our crew. I will commit to giving our staff and scholars the structures, support and space so they feel supported and can be their best.
At home, I have two elementary aged daughters, a supportive husband, and a loving dog. We enjoy Friday night dance parties in the kitchen, playing games, and being together as a family. Each day, we continue to support each other and grow to be the best versions of ourselves.

Al comenzar mi 22 año en la enseñanza, me siento muy emocionada de servir como directora en Stevens. He enseñado y he sido instructora educativa para maestros en el nivel de primaria. En los últimos 10 años, he sido parte de esta comunidad como subdirectora e instructora educativa para maestros. ¡Esta escuela ha crecido y cambiado a lo largo de los años y seguimos trabajando para alcanzar la excelencia!
Stevens es un equipo. Trabajamos para establecer relaciones y cuidarnos mutuamente, tanto los alumnos como el profesorado. Es importante que cada alumno que ingrese en nuestro equipo se conecte con alguien. No solo con sus pares, sino también con un adulto comprensivo que crea en él o ella, que le considere un individuo único, que tiene derecho a aprender y sentir seguridad, y que le capacite para alcanzar su máximo potencial. Quiero que nuestros estudiantes se conecten con otros en nuestro equipo.
La colaboración es muy importante para el arduo trabajo que realizamos en Stevens. Nuestro equipo trabaja conjuntamente para apoyar y hacer crecer a nuestros alumnos. Yo intento fomentar una cultura escolar de aprendizaje colectivo y de eficacia y me comprometo a propiciar el crecimiento de las personas. He aprendido que el liderazgo consiste en estar presente para la gente y construir un equipo solidario. Me comprometo a proporcionar a nuestro personal y a los alumnos las estructuras, el apoyo y el espacio necesarios para que se sientan respaldados y puedan dar lo mejor de sí mismos.
En Stevens, trabajamos para crear asociaciones con las familias y nuestra comunidad para cultivar los líderes comprensivos del mañana.
